    What type of reports are available and how can I view them?

    The Press8 Telecom Control Panel provides you viewing capability for reports, often in a formatted form, for several items related to system usage, rate plan or invoices. For example, you can get a list of active calls or call-history.

    In order to view reports you have to be an administrator.

    ** The term 'My Customer' in the Press8 Control Panel always refers to you unless you are a Press8 Reseller.

    To View Reports

    1. Log in to the Press8 Telecom Control Panel.
    2. Go to Reports, then the type of report you'd like to view.
    3. Select the appropriate options to filter and sort the report results.
    4. Click the "Update" button.
    5. If the page has a button marked "Export as .csv", click this to download the results shown. Depending on your browser configuration, this may download a file to your computer, or may open the results in a program which can read .csv files such as Microsoft Excel.

    The reports available are:

    • Active calls

    Shows calls in progress when the page is loaded. By default, this shows calls for telephone lines in your own customer. If you are logged in as the system owner or a reseller, you can also view calls for your customers. If you are logged in as a system owner, you can also view all calls active throughout the Enswitch installation.

    1. Login to your Press8 Telecom Control Panel.
    2. Select the Reports >>Active Calls
    3. Your active calls will show automatically. (Keep 'My Customer' as the default to see all your calls). You can change which calls you see by choosing from the options and pressing the "Update" button.

    • Call history

    Shows calls which have finished. It has the same options for customers as active calls, plus options to select customers by billing type. This is particularly useful for exporting the call history of externally billed customers to a .csv file.

    1. Login to your Press8 Telecom Control Panel.
    2. Select the Reports >>Call History
    3. Your call history will show automatically. You can change which calls you see by choosing from the options and pressing the "Update" button.

    • Invoices

    This shows your invoices.

    1. Login to your Press8 Telecom Control Panel.
    2. Select the Reports >>Invoices
    3. Your permanent invoices will show automatically. You can change which invoices you see by choosing from the options and pressing the "Update" button. 'My Customer' is YOU unless you are a Reseller. 

    • Transactions

    These are any changes to customers' balances which are not associated with calls.

    1. Login to your Press8 Telecom Control Panel.
    2. Select the Reports >>Transactions
    3. Your transactions will show automatically. You can change which ones you see by choosing from the options and pressing the "Update" button.

    • Top Lists

    This report shows historical data on call volumes for the entire system.

    1. Login to your Press8 Control Panel.
    2. Select the Reports >>Top Lists
    3. Your top list will show automatically. You can change which calls you see by choosing from the options and pressing the "Update" button.
